CONCEPT   Palm Springs Safari

A complete renovation of a 1950s weatherboard cottage in the very heart of Sydney’s most exclusive Northern Beach, the design needed to be comfortable and practical as a working beach house for all number of affairs.  

​

Getting up close and personal with sand, salt and water on a daily basis, materials needed to be durable and still comfortable. In honour of the immediate environment and housing the clients collection of Asian artefacts, the concept settled on Palm Springs Safari. Blending the architectural influence and idealism of Palm Springs lifestyle with the practical approach of going on safari, and being comfortable enough to not be precious.

This was a complete design project including conceptualisation, drafting, full material and colour specifications and detailing as well as furniture fitout.
